Setting up MetaMask

What is MetaMask?

MetaMask is a browser extension that acts as a wallet. It supports HRC20 tokens, i.e. tokens that run on the Harmony network. ROY is an HRC20 token. You'll need to install it and set it up following the video below. There is also a mobile app version, which has been confirmed to work, but the guide is for the browser extension.

How to add the ROY token on MetaMask

Once you're done with the above, MetaMask will be showing your ONE balance. ONE is the native token on the Harmony network. It's the currency you'll need to make transactions on the Harmony network. To see your ROY balance, there's one last step left.

1. Go to the MetaMask extension
2. Click "Add Token"
3. Enter the token contract address in the "Token Contract Address" field
4. Confirm that the token symbol is ROY and that decimals of Precision is 18
5. Click "Next"
6. Click "Add Tokens"

Withdrawing or Depositing in Crypto Royale

Notice: If your withdrawal fails, your in-game balance will not go down. This can happen if two people try to withdraw at the same time (known issue, to be fixed). Please wait a few minutes, or move to a different game, and try again.

Depositing ROY uses the same steps, only instead of clicking Withdrawal you click Deposit

Buying or Selling ROY on SushiSwap

ROY can be bought and sold on Decentralized Exchange(s) such as SushiSwap. Below is a short video explaining some of the basics of the process (the video is for another exchange, follow the guide at the bottom if you have doubts of how to use SushiSwap). Make sure to properly setup your MetaMask before attempting to trade ROY!

Editor Note: Do not change the slippage shown in the video. Your transaction will go through fine with 1% Slippage

Depositing ROY from fiat (cash) into MetaMask and Crypto Royale

Trading Fiat for Crypto using KuCoin

1. Download KuCoin on your phone
2. Set up your account
3. After initial account setup, on the main page of KuCoin click your initials in the upper right
4. Click Security
5. Click Trading Password and set up a trading password
6. Click Google Verification and set up Google Verification (you will download and use the Google Authenticator app)
7. Click Buy Crypto on the main page
8. Click Third Party on the top banner
9. Click USDT or USDC next to "I want to buy"
10. Put in the amount you want to spend, I recommend $120
11. See the amount of USDT and USDC you would get using Banxa for each
12. Select the one with the greater amount (more crypto for the same money)
13. If you purchase USDC follow these steps to then get USDT after:
    1. Trade USDC for USDT by clicking Trade on the bottom banner
    2. Click Spot in the upper left
    3. Click the 3 horizontal lines right below that
    4. Type in USDC then click USDT/USDC
    5. Make sure "Buy" is selected
    6. Click "Limit" right below the Buy/Sell buttons to get the drop down menu and click "Market"
    7. Transfer your USDC that you purchases earlier to move your USDC from your Main Account to your Trading Account by clicking the green symbol that looks like "=" next to the "Available USDC" text. A new screen pops up, click "All", click Confirm and finish the prompts.
    8. Then you are back to the Spot USDT/USDC screen. Now click "100%" and click "Buy USDT"

Trading USDT for ONE

1. Now that you have USDT, you will trade it for ONE
2. Click trade in the bottom banner of the main screen of KuCoin
3. Click Spot in the upper left
4. Click the 3 horizontal lines right below that
5. Type in ONE then click ONE/USDT
6. Make sure "Buy" is selected
7. Click "Limit" right below the Buy/Sell buttons to get the drop down menu and click "Market"
8. Transfer your USDT that you purchased/traded for earlier to move your USDT from your Main Account to your Trading Account by clicking the green symbol that looks like "=" next to the "Available USDT" text. A new screen pops up, click "All", click Confirm and finish the prompts.
9. Then you are back to the Spot ONE/USDT screen. Now click "100%" and click "Buy ONE"
10. Now transfer your ONE you just traded for to your main account by clicking "Assets" on the bottom banner
11. Click the button that says transfer in the upper right
12. Type in ONE (or scroll down) and click ONE from the list of cryptos below the search bar
13. Make sure the screen says "From Trading Account" "To Main Account"
14. Click All
15. Click Confirm and follow the prompts

Sending ONE to MetaMask/Harmony

1. Click Assets in the bottom banner of KuCoin
2. Click Withdraw in the upper middle
3. Type in ONE (or scroll down) and click ONE from the list of cryptos below the search bar
4. Put in your Harmony address
   1. To get this on your desktop, open Chrome
   2. Click the MetaMask logo (the orange fox) to open the popup
   3. Once the popup opens, make sure "Harmony Mainnet" is selected in the upper middle between the fox and the circle
   4. Click where it says "Account 1" to copy your address
   5. Go to https://explorer.harmony.one/
   6. Paste your address where it says "Search by Address" (the search bar)
   7. Click the blue box next to the blue address starting with "one..." to copy it
   8. The process is similar on mobile
5. After your address is in the "Wallet Address" field of KuCoin, you can move on to the next step
6. Click "Max" in the Amount field
7. Click Confirm
8. You will type in your trading password, click "Send" to get an email with a code to copy and paste, and use the Google Authenticator to copy and paste in the the 2FA code
9. Then finish the trade by clicking through to the end
10. A few minutes later you will see the ONE you just transferred in your MetaMask Wallet

Trading ONE for ROY

1. Now with the ONE you will trade it for ROY.
2. Go to https://harmony.sushi.com/swap
3. In the upper right click "Connect a Wallet"
4. Click MetaMask
5. Follow the prompts to connect your wallet and the popup should then close once connected
6. In the middle of the screen you will see a square with two rectangles, the top saying "From" and the bottom saying "To"
7. On the right side of the "From" box make sure "ONE" is selected as the token in the drop down menu
8. In the "To" box make sure "ROY" is selected or import the token using the address below if it does not show up: 0xfe1b516A7297eb03229A8B5AfAD80703911E81cB
9. IMPORTANT: Always keep 1 to 5 ONE in your MetaMask wallet as this is what pays for all transactions on Harmony
10. Type the max amount of ONE in you wallet minus 5 to trade your ONE you purchased for ROY
11. In the right corner there is a gear icon ⚙️, click and where it says "Slippage tolerance" the #% and set it, I always keep it at 1%
12. Exit out of the setting after saving the slippage
13. Click the big button that says "Swap" below the "To" box
14. In the upper right of the screen it will say pending for 30-ish seconds
15. A notification will appear saying Swap # ONE for # ROY approved
16. Your ONE is now ROY and you are earning money on your money
